Dear fellow Club Members: The membership renewal portal has opened. Bear in mind that same portal will close NOVEMBER 30, 2021. From December 1 to December 31, Members will still be able to renew, but with a $100 Late fee. As of midnight, December 31, NO MORE RENEWALS WILL BE ACCEPTED and we will defer to the waiting list for membership. This is important to convey because we do not want anybody to lose their membership. Likewise, we are not interested in taking an additional $100 of your hard-earned money. Conversely, the late fee is intended to promote timely renewal. Inflicting financial pain for not renewing on time. Maintaining a waiting list comes with substantial pressure. Those people on that list are interested in becoming a member. The reason for the finality of the renewal cut off is because we want to be able to give some or all of them a firm commitment for membership. We understand life gets in the way and perhaps this club membership gets prioritized well to the bottom. On the other hand, to renew requires a 3-5 minute commitment which is a small concession. Speaking of life, Covid19 has wreaked havoc for all of us on some level. If you find that you are not going to renew because of a financial challenge. Please reach out to us in confidence. We will do our level best to ensure that you remain a member. BUT DO NOT WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE RENEWAL PERIOD. Be proactive and reach out to us. We are not going to toss you aside for lack of a dues payment. YOUR MEMBERSHIP PROFILE By now, most of you have logged to your membership profile, ensuring that, (a) You can logon; (b) That your information in the profile is up-to-date and accurate. Those who still have not done so, please do so this week. Again, waiting until you renew to do this adds a "shit-ton" of work in dealing with profile challenges right in the midst of the renewal period. Please think ahead, plan ahead and be organized. Please ensure the NRA Membership is current. Reminder..."I DON'T USE COMPUTERS." Those members...those "Luddites," who have made the conscious decision to rebel and not use computers... I am sorry to say, we will NOT be joining your rebellion. You need to have that family member lined up and on board to be your personal secretary. Unlike the last email, this IS both a judgment and condemnation for choosing not to use computers, Members shalt not secretarialize thy club officers and directors. MEMBERSHIP DUES This has been a tough year for Londonderry Fish & Game Club. Costs to operate the Club have substantially increased at all levels. Therefore, as stated in the last several Newsletters, ( and voted in the affirmative in April) the membership fees have increased as follows: ***Above fees do not reflect a 3% processing fee charged when remitted on line. Dues payments may be remitted two ways: Officers Hours. There will be three days in the month of October when Officers will be at the Club from 7pm-9am to collect cash payments. There will also be one Saturday from 10-Noon. As a rule, WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS and we make an exception only on these days ( specific days to be announced at a later date). RENEWAL PERIODS Please, plan ahead. There will be no exceptions made. These hard and fast dates are necessary that we may know exactly how many new members LFGC can receive. CARDS AND KEYS LFGC endeavors...(specifically, Steve Cox), to send out the new cards and keys in a timely and efficient manner. In fact, I will say to you this is personally important to Steve. Steve Cox has always given his very very best to LFGC. And in my humble opinion, he does an absolutely outstanding job. Despite his efforts, we continue to receive many mailed cards and keys back with "forwarding addresses" that had expired. I don't know how to cure this problem. Honestly, it isn't mine to cure. It is up to the individual members to take a few minutes to ensure their information is accurate. Inversely, we are not going to chase after members. It is up to individual members to ensure address information in the profile is correct, accurate and up to date. Cards do get lost in the mail system. Last year, we had about a dozen. Summarily, If you have not received your card and key within 20 days of renewal, please send an email stating the date you renewed. NOT "You haven't sent my card and key! What's the hold up?" The few snotty members often discover that we tend to move a bit slower when such emails are received. We will ensure that you have your renewed card and key in time for the lock change. That is our commitment to the membership body. On behalf of all the Officers and Board members, Thank you for taking the time out to read this communication. It is our hope that the information provided is both helpful and useful as we move forward into 2022. Sincerely, LONDONDERRY FISH & GAME CLUB, INC.
